Riproduzione fedele del famoso fucile
francese a pietra focaia modificato e
adottato nel 9° anno della Rivoluzione
Francese. Arma base delle fanterie na-
poleoniche, è del tutto simile al suo
predecessore, modello 1777: si differen-
zia solo per la forma della martellina e
per le molle di tenuta delle fascette.
Tutte le parti metalliche sono in acciaio
tranne lo scodellino che è in ottone; il
calcio in noce, è lucidato a olio.

Faithful reproduction of the famous
French flintlock musket, modified and
adopted on the 9
th
year of the French
Revolution. Basic gun for the Napoleon
army, it is quite similar to its
predecessor the 1777 Model, the
differences are in the frizzen shape and
in the bands’ springs.
All the metal parts are made of steel,
except for the pan that is made of brass;
the walnut stock is oil finish.

I Dragoni, nati nel Seicento come spe-
ciale corpo di Fanteria che si spostava a
cavallo per poi combattere a piedi, di-
vennero alla fine del Settecento una
specialità della Cavalleria e quindi dota-
ti di carabine. Erano armi molto simili,
per modello e calibro a quelli della Fan-
teria ma un po’ più corti e leggeri: aveva-
no fornimenti in ottone per evitare l’os-
sidazione dovuta al sudore del cavallo e
la granatiera in ferro a doppia banda per
sopportare lo sforzo di trazione della
bretella quando l’arma veniva portata a
tracolla andando al trotto. La nostra ri-
produzione riprende tutte le caratteristi-
che dell’arma originale ed è prodotta
con calcio in noce.

The Dragoons, special Infantry corps
in the 1600s that rode horses, but fought
like the Infantry corps, and by the end
of the 1700s they had become a regular
cavalry force equipped with carbines.
They were very similar, for model and
caliber to the infantry muskets, but
lighter and shorter, with brass furniture
to avoid oxidation due to horse’s sweat,
the double iron bands to stand the
traction of the belt when the gun was
shouldered trot riding a horse. Our
reproduction copies all the original
features of the musket.
The stock is made of walnut.
