Fra le armi prodotte negli arsenali della
Confederazione, durante la guerra fra
gli stati d’America, vi era una carabina
mutuata dal modello 1859 Sharps e fab-
bricata in circa duemila esemplari dalla
S.C. Robinson Arms Manufactury di
Richmond, in Virginia, dal 1862 al 1863.
L’arma differiva dallo Sharps per l’as-
senza del congegno di distribuzione de-
gli inneschi nella parte superiore della
cartella e per i fornimenti in ottone. La
nostra replica è destinata agli appassio-
nati di armi americane e alle rievocazio-
ni storiche delle battaglie della guerra di
secessione.

Among the guns produced in the
Confederate arsenals during the
American Civil War, there was a
carbine borrowed from the 1859 Sharps
model and produced in about two
thousand units by the “S.C. Robinson
Arms Manufactury” in Richmond,
Virginia from 1862 to 1863. The rifle
was different from the Sharps for the
absence of the automatic primer
dispenser device in the upper part of the
frame. Our reproduction gun is
addressed to the fond shooters of
American guns and to the historical
reenactors of the Civil War battles.
