La Harper’s Ferry fu la prima pistola a
pietra focaia ordinata dal Governo ameri-
cano per l’equipaggiamento delle truppe
della marina. Il suo nome è dato da uno
dei più pittoreschi villaggi della Virginia,
ove erano stati installati un’armeria e un
arsenale che vennero distrutti durante la
Guerra di Secessione, senza essere più
ricostruiti. Il calcio è in noce, con parti in
ottone perfettamente incassate. La can-
na è cromata e satinata esternamente e
l’acciarino è color tartaruga.

The Harper’s Ferry was the first
flintlock pistol requested by the
American Government to equip the
Navy.
It is named after one of the most
picturesque villages in Virginia, where
an armoury and an arsenal were built,
then destroyed during the Civil War,
without ever being rebuilt. The stock is
made from walnut with brass
garnitures. The barrel is chromed and
glazed outside. Case hardened lock.

Bellissima copia di pistola a pietra focaia
in uso in Inghilterra tra la fine del 1600
e i primi del 1700 durante il regno della
regina Anna, da cui il nome. Come gli
originali, questa replica è caratterizzata
da una coccia con mascherone grottesco
alla base dell’impugnatura in noce. La
canna è cromata e satinata esternamen-
te, l’acciarino è temperato argento vec-
chio e i particolari sono in ottone.

A true copy of the famous English pistol
that came into use in England between
the end of 1600 and the beginning of
1700, during the Reign of Queen Anne,
hence the name.
As with the originals, this reproduction
is characterized by a grotesque metal
mask under the buttstock. Chromed
barrel, glazed outside, coin finish colour
lock. Stock in walnut. Polished brass
parts.
