Il sistema di funzionamento
Il fucile semi automatico Marocchi SI 12 ha un funzionamento inerziale.
Una robusta molla pretarata presente tra la testina rotante e l’otturatore
permette, durante lo sparo, per effetto del rinculo , di svincolare la testina
disimpegnando le alette dalle sedi di culatta. In questo modo la cartuccia
sparata viene esplusa , incamerata una nuova e riarmato il cane.
I vantaggi dell’inerziale
Il vantaggio di questo sistema è la estrema semplicità del meccanismo ed
inoltre a differenza del sistema a recupero di gas, (appunto per la man-
canza in questo caso di sfogo dei gas di sparo) l’arma necessita di pulizia
meno frequente.
Quindi : minima manutenzione, massima durata.
La canna
Si utilizza acciaio St. Etienne (un acciaio morbido che consente una
migliore distribuzione della rosata). La lavorazione meccanica impiegata
è la tradizionale foratura e tornitura ad alta concentricità dal pieno, con
controllo al 100% degli spessori di parete garantendo così, grazie anche ai
materiali impiegati, una perfetta qualità.
La prova pallini acciaio
L’arma è sottoposta alla prova speciale per l’utilizzo di pallini d’acciaio e
viene marcata dal Banco Nazionale di Prova con il “giglio di Francia” . E’
pertanto possibile utilizzare cartucce ad alta prestazione (cal. 12/76) e
con un diametro del pallino in acciaio fino a 4 mm.
Operating System
The Marocchi SI12 operates on the principle of inertia utilizing kinetic
energy
caused by the recoil of the shell within the barrel. The system requires
no outlet for gas or barrel recoil, but operates by means of a spring that
situated between the bolt head and the bolt.
Inertia operating system advantages
The SI 12 system is the newest type of reloading system. It has an extre-
mely simple mechanism which need the minimum of maintenance, unlike
normal gas-operated, semi-automatic shotguns, that need constant clea-
ning and maintenance due to gas discharge into the magazine tube. Less
maintenance equals maximum durability.
Barrel
The barrel is made of St. Etienne steel. This softer steel allows for a better
shot pattern with a more powerful and precise distribution of pellets. The
most technologically advanced machines are used in the boring of the barrel
and for the exterior profiling. The utmost accuracy is achieved in this preci-
sion manufacturing, making a major contribution to the safety and superb
shooting characteristics of the SI12.
Special steel proof test
The gun is tested by the Italian National Proof House with the special “Steel
Shot Test.” The barrels are stamped by “Lily of France” as confirmation of
this special test. This makes the gun suitable for shooting high performance
steel shot ammunition 12(3”) with a pellet diameter up to 4 mm. (Before
